Mr. Juantua, the agent of Asante Kotoko’s striker Songne Yacouba has hinted that Premier League clubs Hearts of Oak and Ashantigold SC are in line to sign the Burkinabe after his contract with the Porcupines run out.
Yacouba’s contract with Kotoko comes to an end on the first of April and the two parties(Kotoko & Yacouba) have not come to a consensus concerning the future of the striker, with Kotoko’s Executive Chairman announcing in public that the striker will leave after his contract run out.
Yacouba’s agent in an interview with the Kumasi based Nhyira FM hinted that Kotoko bitterest rivals Hearts of Oak and regional rivals Ashantigold have expressed interest in signing the Burkinabe when his contract runs out with Kotoko
“Ashgold and Hearts of Oak are all in line to sign Songne Yacouba and I’m even going to talk to Alhaji Grusah to find a spot for the boy in his team King Faisal. We know that the crowd will follow Yacouba when we go to King Faisal”
“The thing is very dicey and it depends on FIFA and the GFA because of the FIFA KMS, Yacouba was registered on the 23rd of February but was registered by the GFA on the first of April so we will wait for the April first”
He added that the posture of Asante Kotoko in the contract negotiations shows that they are not interested in the services of the player anymore because they are not even willing to pay even forty percent of their asking price which is $150,000.
“The posture of the club doesn’t even seem that they want the boy because they are far from our asking price and they don’t even know where the boy stays after vacating him from the sports hotel”
Meanwhile, rumor has it that Legon Cities FC is willing to pay the asking price of Songne Yacouba for his services.
