NDC National Communicator, Sammy Gyamfi became the talk of social media, particularly Twitter after he descended on Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia over his submissions during the government’s Town Hall meeting held at the Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi.
Sammy Gyamfi among other things sought to punch holes in the statements made by the Vice President.
Speaking on Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana Mr Gyamfi stated that “NPP and Akufo-Addo are spending borrowed funds on consumption. President Akufo-Addo and his useless globetrotting activities in 9 months in 2019 this wasteful President spends Ghc63 million on foreign travels.”
He further claimed that vice president Bawumia spent GHc1.9 million, which is 19billion old cedis of borrowed money on party refreshments.
Some of the users praised him for being candid and exposing the ‘lies’ of the Vice President whilst others jabbed him for being his usual ‘propagandist-self’.
The high engagement and responses of Ghanaians on the issue got the NDC Communicator to rise to the top of Twitter trends. He trended from Tuesday night straight to Wednesday.
At the time this story was being filed, Gyamfi was still number one on the Twitter trends in Ghana.
Here are some of the reactions from some users on his submissions on the current affairs show.
Sammy Gyamfi is what the NDC has been lacking all these years in their area of communication. Both twi and English language he is superb. If the NDC gets only 3 of his kind, they will render the government and NPP communicators useless.

So now Sammy Gyamfi is an economist or some expert in the area?
If Sammy Gyamfi is that good, then the NDC should make him John Mahama’s running mate, since they still have none.
