BLAME YOUR COMMUNICATION DIRECTOR IF THE NPP FAILS TO WIN THE 2020 GENERAL ELECTIONS IN ASSIN CENTRAL

Our attention has been drawn to several lies and provocative words by the communication director of the NPP in Assin central directed at the good citizens of Assin Akropong and Wurakese for expressing their grievances on the bad nature of their abandoned road by construction firm, DHM company.

Several months after abandoning the said road, the contractor and the communication director have failed to offer a single reason to the chiefs and the good people of the communities.

It must be noted that Assin Akropong and Assin Wurakese has been very faithful to the NPP since 1998 till now, but Uncle Ato and DHM company have decided to destroy the good relationship built over the years.

The manner in which these people have been addressing the Brofoyedur Akenkansu highway roads leaves much to be desired. Uncle Ato has chosen to spill lies and creating the impression that the contractor is seriously on site working when he knows for sure that he’s lying.

Uncle Ato is taking the people of Assin Akropong and Assin Wurakese for granted due to his belief that the people of Assin Akropong and Wurakese have “short memories”.

We must state that one group has served us an invitation letter for us to join them for a demonstration of which we are yet to respond to them and also provide them more information on the road.

Uncle Ato on 15 February 2020 on Splash FM morning show platform levelled wild allegations and lies against this group and our project director:

i. Our project Director attempted to bribe the Assin Fosu GPRTU to assist the communities to demonstrate against the contractor on the abandoned road.

ii. He also claimed that our project Director is always barking on the abandoned road all because his company failed to win the 49km road.



We therefore want to state on authority that:

1. It is never true that our project Director has ever had any meeting with any official from GPRTU.

2. None of the 4 construction companies he works with of which two are international construction companies and the other two are into real estate bidded for the said contract so there is no way they qualify to do the 49km DHM contract.

The above facts show that, the communication director doesn’t gather facts on current issues before coming out to comment on them.

We therefore plead with the chairman of the NPP in Assin Central to restrict him from commenting further on the road as the damage he is causing the communities and the party at large is massive.

His mode of communication can easily dissuade the 6500 voters from these communities from voting for thehe NPP party in the coming elections.

We finally demand an unqualified appology from him and also needs a press release from the NPP party on why the contractor is not on site.

We strongly believe that the party will respond to our grievances as soon as possible.
