Ghana has over the years aspired to be a truly independent country and successive governments devise ways of being at par with the developed world.
Though people are wondering if this dream of becoming one of the African countries to look like the developed world, Professor Stephen Kwaku Asare, popularly known as Kwaku Azar has noted that Ghana can equally be a well-developed country that will house skyscrapers, luxurious buildings and cars, among other flashy things Ghanaians see or experience when they travel to the United States of America for vacation.
According to him, all Ghana needs is a visionary leader who will channel it’s natural resources into something beneficial that would help position the country on the path of making money as well as develop.
Kwaku Azar noted that Ghana can achieve this feat by 2025 if the current government begins the process.
“We can achieve a lot of that within 5 years because we are one on the more fortunate countries that is endowed with abundant resources. It’s just a question of leadership, just a question of channeling our minds into getting those things done,” he said.
He made this revelation in a Facebook video with Ben Dotsei Malor at the John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York on Saturday, February 29, 2020.
