GFA suspends all football competitions

The Ghana Football Association following the directives given by the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Sunday, 15 March 2020, has suspended all its competitions with immediate effect until further notice.

The GFA made the announcement in a statement saying it will continue to engage the relevant institutions on this matter and update its members and all stakeholders of any changes.

The government on Sunday placed a ban on all social gatherings including church and mosque services, festivals and funerals for the next four weeks as part of measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
