CORONAVIRUS: JOE T REACHES OUT TO THE VULNERABLE IN KPONE KATAMANSO

In the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic which is ravaging the world including Ghana, some parts of the country including Kpone Katamanso municipality has been put under a two weaks partial lockdown restricting the movement of people.

The lockdown has brought most businesses to a standstill which has it’s economic ramifications with the vulnerable and needy in the society worst hit.




In response to a call by his excellency, John Dramani Mahama, the presidential candidate of the great NDC for the front runners of the party to contribute their widows mite in helping to alleviate the suffering of the poor and vulnerable in their areas, the Paliamentery candidate of the NDC in Kpone Katamanso Constituency, Hon. Joseph Akuerteh Tettey (Joe T) with the help of the sitting MP Hon. Nii Laryae Afitey Agbo procured a number of items to be distributed to people in need and special facilities to help fight the covid-19 virus.

Items procured and distributed are One Thousand (1000) hand sanitizers, 500 bags of 5kg rice , 200 bottles of liquid soap and 100 Veronica buckets.

In compliance with the social distancing protocol, the distribution of the items were done from the office of the Parliamentary Candidate. Assembly members of the various electoral areas in the Constituency were invited to receive the items for onward distribution in their various juricdictions.

It’s noteworthy that institutions like the Police Service and operators of public toilets also benefited from the donation exercise.




In a speech to herald the donation, Joe T advised everybody to comply with the lockdown order by the president and called on the people to constantly use the hand sanitizers, wash their hands under running water and to observe the social distancing protocol in order to fight the deadly virus .
