COVID-19: Ashanti region confirms another positive case

One more case of COVID-19 has been confirmed in the Ashanti region bringing the total number of positive cases in the region to 70.

Officials of the regional health directorate who confirmed the development to Starrfm.com.gh said a media briefing will be held in the coming days to offer details on the new case.

The figure in the region stood at 69 until the new case.



On record,  COVID-19 cases in Ghana are 1,279.

According to the GHS, another person has died bringing the total number of deaths to 10 while 123 people have now recovered from the killer virus.

Greater Accra Region still leads the way the highest number of cases recording 1,089, Ashanti Region – 69, Eastern Region – 56, Northern Region – 13, Oti Region – 13, Central Region – 9, Volta Region – 10, Upper West Region – 8, North East Region – 2,Western North Region – 1 and Western Region – 1.
