Kevin-Prince Boateng names Claude Makelele as his toughest opponent

Besiktas forward Kevin-Prince Boateng has named former Real Madrid and Chelsea midfielder Claude Makelele as the toughest opponent he has ever faced.

The two faced each other in the Premier League when Boateng was at Tottenham and Makelele was at Chelsea.

In an interview with his brother, Jerome Boateng, he described the Frenchman as ‘unbelievable’ and ‘like a wall’.

“The hardest I played against was Makelele when he was at Chelsea.”

“I played two games against him and he was unbelievable. He always knew when the ball drops, he knew what to do, how to pass the ball and anytime I tried to beat him, he was there. He was unbelievable, he was like a wall. He was too good.”

The Ghanaian player played for Tottenham and Portsmouth during his time in the Premier League. He also had spells with AC Milan, Schalke and Barcelona among others.
