As of Wednesday May 13, 2020, Ghana’s COVID-19 case count spiked to 5,408 with 514 recoveries and two more deaths taking the toll to 24.

Meanwhile, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo earlier in his ninth address extended the ban on social and public gatherings to May 31 as a measure to institute social distancing protocols to curb the spread of the virus.

With all other protocols still in place but for the lifting of the partial lockdown, the president however pleaded with Ghanaians to adhere to all the directives by the state in order to curtail the spread of the virus.
