Supreme Court annuls Ofori-Binkorang’s election as UEW Pro-VC

The election of Professor Andy Ofori-Binkorang as Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has been annulled by the Supreme Court today.

A High Court in Winneba in June last year dismissed an application by a lecturer of the university Dr Kaakyire Duku Frimpong seeking to stop the election of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor.
The aggrieved lecturer decided to pursue the case at the Supreme Court and has received a judgment in his favour.

Until his election as Pro Vice Chancellor, Professor Ofori-Binkorang was the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Communications.
