The Electoral Commission of Ghana should not allowed itself to be manipulated, controlled, and then execute a careful grand design to hoodwinked the entire Ghanaians with the intended new voter registration. We believe Ghanaians must be listened to including the major opposition party, the NDC. as well as Civil Society Organizations.

The PRO for Gallant Soldiers Cadres of NDC ,Mr Richard Sarpong Continued that, Electoral Commission should ensure that the processes are transparent and beyond blemish. Ghanaians who are eligible to exercise their rights of choice should not and cannot be disenfranchised by dictates that defeat one’s rights to vote.

Why would the EC only legitimate Ghana card and passports as proof of identity in acquiring the supposed new voters ID card. EC would exclude Birth Certificate and the very Voter ID card EC issued to Ghanaians, he said.

If EC ‘s agenda, which we have no doubt, is to destroy the very peace Ghana is enjoying, they better well prepare since Gallant Soldiers Cadres of NDC is ready to protect Ghanaians, and the peace of Ghana.
Fact must be made clear nobody, no Ghanaian wants to queue for any new voter registration exercise especially given the health pandemic which is threatening human existence.

The intimidations and the attempt to use State securities to gag discernible Ghanaians from expressing their views must ceased, he stated.
