Kennedy Agyapong turns heat on ‘NDC prophet’

Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, who credits himself for the woes of the Head Pastor of the International God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, has dared Apostle Kwabena Owusu Agyei to proceed with his ‘evil’ intent against Chairperson of the Electoral Commission and others.

Apostle Kwabena Owusu Agyei, believed to be a staunch member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in a video clip that has gone viral, threatened the EC Chairperson, Jean Mensa with death if she does not rescind her decision to compile a new voters register.

While stating without equivocation that Ghana will not allow a small family to dictate to the nation, the pastor stated that if the voters’ register is changed, Jean Mensa will die on an afternoon.

“Let me tell them (Akyems) something, on June 4 people were crying let the blood flow, it was only military people whose blood flowed… Today as I hear the let the blood flow, it is the blood of the Akyem Mafia that will flow… I saw Akyem Kyebi palace, I saw it on fire and people were saying let the blood flow,” he said while warning President Akufo-Addo to not open the borders for prospective runaways.

“I’m telling Jean Mensa today… If Jean Mensa thinks she was not born of a woman but came from some other angle, she should go ahead and do the new register. She will die 12 midday. She will die just like that. Nonsense! Idiot! You’re an idiot Jean Mensa… Stupid Akufo-Addo girl…” he fumed.

You’ll die if you compile new voters register – ‘Furious’ NDC prophet threatens Jean Mensa

Apostle Agyei’s outburst has irked Mr. Agyapong who has subsequently threatened to thwart his plans and teach him a bitter lesson.

“If you access his agenda, he’s part of the NDC plan to disgrace President Akufo-Addo,” the legislator said on Net2 TV. “This man deals in stolen cars. I will launch a full attack on him. Obinim should be thankful to God that my attention has shifted from him.”

“First, that pastor should be arrested. They should have arrested him yesterday. If he is a man, he should avail himself. He claimed I said Ewes and Gas should be killed so I was charged with treason; how about his statement that he will kill Jean Mensa? What should we do to him? Are you sure he’s a man of God? How much did NDC pay him to do these kinds of things?”

According to Agyapong, there are plans by the NDC to frustrate the electoral process. The video clip, he said, forms part of the strategies by the opposition party as it fears defeat awaits the party, should the register be changed.

“They claim they have more men in the security agencies than NPP has so they’ll get their people to support them whenever there is a riot. I want to tell them that Ghanaians are not fools, they consider the condition of service and do a comparison,” he fumed with rage.

“We also have the men, let them make a mistake, and try it. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. The same way they beat Gabby and others to the extent of damaging their eyes, if this pastor is a man, let him lead the demonstration that day and he will see that we have the men. If you’re a man, Owusu Agyei, try. If he jokes, he will never step foot at his church. I challenge him, I dare him! If he is a man, he should try. He won’t step foot in his church again… You’ll die before Jean Mensa…”

Agyapong further alleged that the NDC has contracted some electoral officers and intend to pay each an amount of $200,000.

Jean Mensa should listen and listen carefully. NDC is going to use her district electoral officers to destroy the machines to slow down the registration. NPP should also monitor them,” he cautioned.

“Wherever you go and are told the machines have slowed down, take actions against them. Resist and make sure they work with the machine; especially all the strongholds of NPP. They have planned to destroy EC’s machines with arsines.

“They have 4 insiders: Human Resource, Secretary to Jean Mensa. I’m yet to get hold of the others. These people are going to be paid $200,000 each. This is their game plan and they’re executing it. They say they will create an artificial scene for me because whether NPP will win or not depends on me. They’re going got use prisoners against me but it will not work.”
