Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Constituency Chairman for Sefwi Wiawso, Mr. Anthony Amankwah has today warn the NPP National Executive Committee (NEC) over their decision to let Dr. Kwaku Afriyie go unopposed come 2020 general elections that is harsh and unacceptable
He made this statement in an interview with Polo Esposito Adusei on De Beat fm DBDB morning show as he shown his disappointment in the decision of National Executive committee(NEC)as NPP goes on polls to elect its Parliamentary Candidate’s at Constituencies where they have sitting MP’s as this decision has brought a brouhaha in the Sefwi Wiawso Constituency as NEC intends to disqualify both Martin Bonye and Western Madam Golly Antwi Boasiako in the coming parliamentary primaries in 2020 June 20.
This decision has been bad news for the followers of both Hon Martin Bonye and Madam Golly Antwi Boasiako to date .
That notwithstanding,he said cried out that the party is left in the hands of some young chaffs who do not know the founding of the party in the Wiawso constituency as they had fought since to retain the seat from the NDC.
He continued that, there is an influence to this effect and is a bad decision from NEC and threats to the NPP in the coming Parliamentary election in the Wiawso constituency come 2020.
In an interview, Mr. Anthony Amankwah said the decision of the National Executive Committee (NEC) to impose Dr. Afriyie on Sefwi Wiawso Constituency could send them to the opposition in this year’s election.
According to him, Dr. Afriyie as Member of Parliament on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has neglected top members of the party who fought for his victory in 2016, and this has brought divisions in the constituency and on his part influencing NEC for his unoppose.
He stated that President Addo Dankwa led administration is doing tremendous developments across the country, but Sefwi Wiawso Constituency has not gained from the national cake due to the poor performance of Dr. Kwaku Afriyie, he lamented.
