Some supporters of the ruling New Patriotic Party in Offinso South constituency of the Ashanti region are 'forced' to make available 3 fowls, 12 ram's, 3 crates of eggs and a box of schnapps before Offinso Traditional council after a summon on Wednesday. The Offinso Traditional Council summoned two party members who claimed to be supporters of Dr Isaac Yaw Opoku, one of the three parliamentary aspirants in Offinso following their invoked curses on Thursday, 4, against attempt to declare Ben Abdallah Banda unopposed One of the Lindquist, Kyeame Bismark who charged the two before the Offinso Paramount Chief, Nana Wiafe Akenten (lll) prayed that, on Thursday, the two namely; Mr Kwasi Adu Gyemfi and hon Offeh Collins Kingsley together with some Offinso youth were captured in a viral footage forbiddingly invoking curses in 'Offin Abena' river without authorisation. He added that, in their incantations, they again blasphemed with unprintable abusive utterances against women and the youth staying within Offinso enclave. For their punishment, the Traditional Council demanded a box of schnapps, 6 crates of eggs, 24 sheep's and 6 fowls but latter slashed by half of the items following a plea by Nkwanta Kesse Chief, Nana Boakye Yam Ababio on the two behalf. The Paramount Chief Nana Wiafe Akenten (lll) at the palace charged the constituency party chairman, Mr Amoafo Atuobi Boakye Yiadom a.k.a Chairman Bantama together with the constituency secretary, Mr Nsiah Boakye and the party's deputy woman organizer Mrs. Patient Owusu Amposah who stood before the 'Nananom' to ensure peace and unity within the party and Offinso at large. In a sidelined interview, the Offinso Naduasa Chief who doubles as Offinso Baamuhene, Nana Kofi Adu Boahene (l) a.k.a Nana Kings told Kaakyire Kwasi Afari that, it’s prohibited by Offinso Traditional Council and Asanteman as a whole to call on deity to invoke cures in a quest to seek instant justice thus, there is a need to urgently embark on sacrifice to the Offin River to revers all calamities that may be occurred. The constituency chairman, Chairman Bantama speaking to Offinso Time FM newscaster, Kaakyire Kwasi Afari, he applauded the chiefs for accepting their plea from the party and being 'soft' on the two offenders. However, he assures to provide strict sanctions to the people involved in invoking the curses as ordered by the party's general secretary, John Boadu. He latter advised the aspirants to adhere to the guidelines of the party for a smooth elections as he describes the primaries as home affair.
