ASSIN NORTH MP, Hon. Abena Durowa is under pressure for diverting a 3-unit classroom block meant to be built at Assin Breman to be built at Assin Bereku instead.

Speaking to the Chief of Assin Breman, Nana Aning Adjei Basuafo , he disclosed that . The member of Parliament together with some govt officials came to him( the chief ) to inform him about the good news concerning the project that has been awarded to a contractor to be carried out at Assin Breman. The chief said he confronted the MP as well as the DCE Hon. Charles Ohene Annor when the date of the commencement of the project passed nd was told that the said project was not meant for Assin Breman in the Assin North District but Breman in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa constituency.



According to the chief, he later found out that the said project ( 3- unit classroom block) is being carried out at Assin Breku The District Capital with the sign post of the project bearing Assin Breman as the beneficiary town.

This has sparked an outrage in the Assin Breman town with the town folks threatening to manhandle the Member of Parliament whenever she sets foot in the town to campaign.

The chief nd elders of the town are however pleading with the member of Parliament , Hon. Abena Durowaa Mensah to return the project to Assin Breman immediately because they need it badly.
