President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kurt Okraku has called for a unity within the Ghana Football stakeholders to help develop and take the sport to higher heights in the country.
The GFA Capo made these comments as he addressed the football fraternity who have assembled at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence today for the 26th ordinary congress of the association.
“Let us come together and build our sport, This is the sport that has made me who I am today, this is the sport that feeds us, this is the sport that brings the country together”, Kurt Okraku said.
Kurt Okraku further pleaded with members tarnishing the image of the association to put a stop to it as it’s affecting the brand of the GFA especially in its quest to convince corporate Ghana to invest in football in Ghana.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Isaac Asiamah has called on football administrators to protect the image of Ghana Football in order to help the association secure sponsorship from corporate bodies in Ghana.
Ghana football in recent time have struggled in sponsorship deals and according to the Minister, it will be prudent for all stakeholders of football in Ghana to do away with the negative commentary about the game.
