Tears flow at Offinso as Sports Fraternity bids farewell to Dead Juvenile footballers

The Sports fraternity in Ghana today joined the families and scores of mourners of the seven juvenile footballers who lost their lives at Offinso in a road accident.


       
The seven young footballers, namely, Ofori Amanfo Ramsey, Alex Agyemang, Antwi Richmond, Abdulai Jamal, Hubert Anaba, Samuel Boakye and Kwame Opoku were on their way from a juvenile screening exercise at a registration centre at Afrancho in the Ashanti Region.





A deletion from the Sports ministry and the National sports authority led by the Sports minister Isaac Asiamah and officials of the Ghana football association led by its Vice President, Mark Addo and other Executive Council members Frederick Acheampong and Madam Habiba Atta Forson. Chairman of the Ashanti Regional Football Association Osei Tutu Agyemang, Aminu Abdullai (Kamarat), President of Asokwa Deportivo and Executives of the Regional and District Football Association were all present.

The young footballers played for Colts club Africa Vision Football Academy in Offinso unfortunately met their untimely death after the minibus they were traveling in crashed into the Offin River.
