Daniel Amartey writes his name in historic Gold

Daniel Amartey has become the third Ghanaian footballer to win the English FA Cup after his club Leicester City defeated Chelsea to lift the converted trophy at Wembley.

The Ghanaian defender who has had a torrid time at the club with several spells on the sidelines through injury joins Micheal Essien and Sulley Muntari as the only Ghanaian players to have won the oldest competition in English football.

A spectacular long range effort from midfielder Youri Tielemans was all it took to separate the two sides after 90 minutes of exciting football.

Micheal Essien won the FA cup with Chelsea whiles Sulley Muntari won it with Portsmouth.
