I Didn’t Take Money To Campaign For NPP – Prince David Osei

Actor Prince David Osei has insisted that he did not take money before campaigning for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and President Akufo-Addo, leading up to the 2020 General Elections.

Speaking with KOD on Instagram Live on Sunday night, ‘The Dead’ actor said he campaigned for the President because he deserved a second term and also because he believed in his policies.

“No! I wasn’t paid. I was not given fuel. Yes, I did everything for Akufo-Addo pro bono. When we went to Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency to campaign we were not given anything. I had to even send momo to some supporters because they came to my car and were demanding money. …nobody had paid me,” he revealed.

Prince also denied claims that he was given a new car after the elections. According to him, the car he uses is the same he has been using since 2018. “I have been using my car since 2018. People just talk,” he stated.

Prince was one of the country’s top celebrities who devoted time and energy for the electioneering period.

He didn’t only endorse four more years for President Akufo-Addo to rule the country, but also joined various platforms to campaign for him to win the election.

Aside using his social platforms, he also mounted NPP platforms to convince the electorate to maintain the President, who came out as the victor of the December 7, 2020 Presidential Election.

This has since sparked rumours that he was paid for the campaign, but he has always insisted he wasn’t paid.
