Samuel Boadu of Hearts of Oak is Ghana’s Best Coach-Agyemang Badu declares

Former Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has touted Hearts of Oak’s coach Samuel Boadu as the best coach in Ghana.

The former Udinese midfielder in an interview with GhOne TV indicated he has been monitoring the 35 year old coach from his Medeama days and believes Samuel Boadu’s works are that of a world class manager and not just a football coach.

“Three years ago I had a conversation with a friend about this coach at Medeama who I saw to be a very intelligent coach, he knows what he wants from his players and gets them to do exactly that” he said.

“He is more of a manager and not just a coach, in modern day football, coaching is not just about teaching player’s tactics but it’s mainly about your relationship with the players, winning them over to play for you and he has that in his locker” Agyemang Badu added.

Since taking over as coach at Hearts of Oak back in March, Samuel Boadu has overseen a remarkable transformation at the club. The 35-year old tactician has played 13 matches in the League, with 9 wins, two draws and just two defeats.

A feat that has impressed the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup winner who is a known Kotoko supporter as he believes he is the best coach is Ghana now and will not be surprised if he leads Hearts to win the Ghana Premier league title against his wishes.

“When he moved to Hearts of Oak I told a friend we (Kotoko) are dead because he is the best coach in Ghana and makes his teams difficult to defeat, I wish Kotoko win the league but I won’t be surprised if he leads Hearts to wins this season’s league title” he told GhOne TV’s Benjamin Yamoah.

The Rainbow club are now unbeaten in their last seven games and have kept six clean sheets during their hot streak and with five matches to end the season, Samuel Boadu is well on course to end the club’s 11-year Premier League trophy drought.
