The journey for Northern Region and Upper West Region representatives for this year’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB), Teiya and Terro respectively, has ended as they could not meet expectations of the competition.

Speaking to MzGee during the entertainment segment on TV3 New Day, the two evictees recounted their experiences for the past eight weeks and how useful the GMB platform has been to them.

Teroo said her experience as a former contestant of the competition has helped her build her self-confidence and has sharpened her public speaking skills.

She stated that “the GMB platform made it possible for me to be groomed and made me better at everything I do. It did not only make me better with my performances and presence on stage but also to my social life”.

Teroo added that the platform also gave her the opportunity to identify her strengths and weaknesses as well as raise her self-esteem as an individual.

“The GMB platform gives you a broader scope on issues. Sometimes you would think you know about a topic until you are given more education and then you realize you know very little,” she added.

Northern Regional representative, Teiya said the platform has made her understand the need to put one’s mind to desired goals and objectives to achieve results.

“I am so proud of how far I have come and very optimistic on the way forward,” she said.

Speaking on the way forward, Teiya says she aims at nurturing young people to bring out their talents and accept themselves for who they are.

“I want to nurture talents of young people and bring out their talents. I want to bring a smile on the faces of young ones and I believe that will be impactful,” she said.

The competition began with 16 contestants from the various regions. After seven weeks, six contestants have bowed out.
