Ghanaian gospel musician, Celestine Donkor, credited with a number hit songs, is out with a new single titled ‘Only You’ ahead of her yet to be released EP.
Fused with beautiful rhythms and drum beats to match, the slow tempo song offers great inspiration to all Christians.
The song, produced by Shadrach Yawson (Shaa), is a great delight to listen to as the lyrics focus on the teachings of Christ.
Celestine Donkor is hopeful that the song which is currently available for downloads on popular music sites such as YouTube, would touch the hearts of many Ghanaians including Christians as well as music lovers and help them to have breakthroughs in their lives.
The video to promote the song has also been released and it was directed by Alexander Fiifi Grey of Photogbee Production.
According to her, her vision is to preach the gospel through her songs and to lead the lost souls with her inspiring and spirit-filled songs towards the path of righteousness.
The award-winning gospel artiste and songwriter revealed that music and ministry is a family heritage, adding that three of her siblings are pastors while the others are in one way or the other connected to music.
“Ministry was in the blood and we were raised in this direction. Everybody in my family is connected to music and ministry. I have like four pastors in my family, one sound engineer, one graphic designer, one videographer; it’s like everybody is doing something connected to music and ministry,” she added.
Celestine Donkor, who has collaborated with numerous gospel musicians, including Joe Mettle, Joyce Blessing, Ceccy Twum, Mkhululi Bhebhe, Edem, Philipa Baafi, recently won Female Gospel Artiste of the Year at this year’s National Gospel Music Awards.
The ‘Supernatural’ hit singer who is credited with a number of hit songs such as ‘Wagye Me’, ‘Boboobo’, ‘God of the Storm’, ‘He Lives’, ‘Medo Wo’, ‘Faithful’, ‘Mogya’ among others, is the brain behind the annual gospel musical concert dubbed ‘Celestial Praiz’.
Her latest Album ‘Agbebolo’ earned her the Artiste of the Year at the National Gospel Music Awards.
