Andre Ayew continued his impressive scoring form in Qatar by netting his fifth goal of the season on Sunday night.
The Ghana captain’s close range finish helped Al Sadd secure victory in the thrilling contest against Al-Gharafa.
Ayew tapped home a rebound in the 89th minute for the last goal of the match as Al Sadd won 6-4 at Al-Gharafah Stadium in Doha.
The goal means Ayew has now scored in five successive games after drawing blank on his debut.
He is now the third top scorer in the Qatar Stars League, behind Algeria star Baghdad Bounedjah and Michael Olunga from Kenya. The duo have scored eight goals each.
The win maintains Al Sadd 100 percent start in the league as they now sit comfortably at the top after six games.
