Xiaomi opens first branch in Ghana

Chinese tech company Xiaomi, has opened its first retail shop in Accra, on the Spintex Road to avail Ghanaians of their products in the country.

The Xiaomi shop and its myriad products was launched to the public on Saturday, October 16.

The Chinese tech giant was established in the year 2010 and has fast become one of the trusted brands in the global tech market.

Xiaomi is ranked 422nd on the Fortune Global 500 companies and has been listed as part of the most valuable brands in the tech industry approximately a decade after it was established.

The Xiaomi brand is ranked second on the list of the top smartphone companies in the world after Samsung.

According to the Product Manager of Xiaomi Bernard Banor, “the mission of the company is to enable everyone around the world to enjoy the good life brought by science and technology”.





“The vision is to make friends with users and to be the coolest company with all users across the globe”.

Xiaomi smart products on the market spans from mobile phones with its Redmi series, tablets and notepads, rice cookers, kettles, power banks, laptop bags, backpacks, WiFi routers, scooters, scales, cameras and many more.

All Xiaomi home appliances are remotely controlled with the aid of an app on the phone and proudly boast of AI (Artificial Intelligence) and IOT(internet Of Things) technologies in all their numerous products, in keeping with their mission to enrich lives with science and technology.

Xiaomi brands are secured with warranty for the consumer and affordable for all Ghanaians who want their money’s worth for their products to enjoy and appreciate, according to Rita Akorfa of Xiaomi.

Xiaomi products are available in retail shops across the country such as Freddie’s Corner, His Majesty’s phone shop in Accra and at Kobby Jones Phones, Oman Berlin and all other phone shops in Kumasi.
