Popular Ghanaian actor/comedian, Mikki Osei Berko, has been adjudged the Brand Ambassador of the Year at the 3rd edition of the National Communications Award (NCA) held at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra.
The celebrated Mikki Osei Berko, a radio and television personality, beat the likes of Nana Ama McBrown and Anita Akuffo to win the award this year.
The awards ceremony organised by RAD Communications Limited was on the theme: “Transforming Ghana’s Economy through Digitisation.”
An elated Mikki Osei Berko, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Media Gold Multimedia, attributed his success to the favour of God that carries him through.
He, however, dedicated the award to the various brands which made it possible for him to win the distinguished trophy.
He expressed his gratitude to MTN whom he has worked with for the past years, Kab-Fam Ghana Ltd who has signed him for 10 years and won the Outstanding Electronic Brand of the Year on the same night.
He thanked brands like Agatex Paints, Allianz for Life, Piccadilly Biscuits, Wofa Chef Seasoning Powder for believing in his abilities and working with him as brand ambassador.
The Brand Ambassador of the Year, who also doubles as a UEFA B licence coach acquired under the English FA, thanked his fans for making him attractive enough for these brands.
Mikki Osei Berko, known in the showbiz scene as Master Richard or Dada Boat, was featured prominently in the popular television series Taxi Driver, and as Dada Boat, in the series Dada Boat, produced by his own production outfit, Media Gold Productions.
He has worked with Radio Gold, an Accra-based private radio station, which he left in July 2003 to join Happy FM, also in Accra, and later relocated to Kessben FM.
He also worked with Adom FM as the host of its drive time programme, Ofie Kwanso.
