Economic crisis: Ofori-Atta to address nation Thursday

Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta will this Thursday, 24 March 2022, announce decisions taken by the government to address the recent economic challenges facing the country.

This was disclosed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Tuesday, 22 March 2022 at the Jubilee House.

Mr Ofori-Atta will also be expected to announce the government’s plans on how to cushion the economy in the midst of the current challenges.

President Akufo-Addo said: “It is no secret that our economy is going through difficult times”.

“It is also no secret that we are not alone in that exercise and that many of the phenomena we are facing are phenomena that are apparent in many other parts of the world as well.”

He noted that the government must, however, not be seen as “impotent in trying to find solutions” to the challenges.”
