We are Battle ready for Nigeria – Otto Addo

Head coach for the Black Stars of Ghana, Otto Addo has revealed the team is prepared for the clash against Nigeria.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will play as visitors to the Black Stars at the Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi on Friday in the first leg of the Qatar 2022 World Cup playoffs. Both teams topped their group with thirteen points en route to the playoffs.

The Ghanaian players started arriving in Ghana and had their first shake up session on Monday in Accra. Upon arriving in Kumasi, the Stars have had two training sessions with the last coming up this afternoon. Gaffer and former player for the Black Stars, Otto Addo says they had to make some changes due to injury in camp.

“Everything is in place, we trained well and we had to make a lot of changes in the team especially due to a lot of injuries” he said.

However he believes the changes will not affect the team that match and they are ready for the clash.

“I’m a person who always think positive, I’m always looking forward. We had enough time to train, the players are ready and they are in a good shape. I’m sorry for the fans because we needed to do some secretly tactical training and they players have adapted quickly and we are ready” He added.

The game kicks off on Friday at 7:30 pm at the Baba Yara stadium.
