Ghana National Gas Company has commissioned a health centre and a 4-bedroom nurses quarters to support the midwives and nurses at Bomeng in the Sekyere Kumawu District of the Ashanti Region.
The project is aimed at easing the pressure and the difficulties nursing mothers likewise the nurses go through.

The health centre can boast of consulting officers, a pharmacy, delivery ward and main ward, which the community have been deprived for so long a time.
The CHPS Compound will benefit communities such as Sekyere East, Mampong Nsuta and its environs.
It will serve the people in the community who had been faced with moving to other health facilities like Juaben Government Hospital, Effiduase Government Hospital and the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) to receive medical care.
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Samuel Addae Agyekum, thanked Ghana Gas for the project and assured that its maintenance culture will be adhered to and that they have formed a committee to ensure the facility is well maintained.
Assistant Manager in charge of Project Anyimah Edomgbole stressed the need for maintenance of the health centre and the 4-bedroom nurses quarters.
“We urge that this facility will be put to good use. If something goes wrong fit it and don’t wait for something to go wrong again,” he stressed.
He commended Ghana Gas for the delivery on its promise especially giving back to the society.
Nana Owusu Ansah and a board member of Ghana Gas initiated the move for the construction of the Bomeng CHPS Compound and said many of such projects will follow.
