Former Black Stars Winger Christian Atsu wants striker Asamoah Gyan included in the squad for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.
This comes on the back of a BBC interview with the former Black Stars Captain today, 16 August 2022, in which the striker expressed his willingness to take part in the World Cup one more time.
According to the former captain of the Black Stars, he is not officially retired.
Reacting to Gyan’s readiness to be included in the squad, Christian Atsu in a tweet said: “Honour Asamoah Gyan with his last wish.”
The two played together in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The former captain was part of the Black Stars team that played in the 2006, 2010 and 2014 World Cup.
He is Africa’s top scorer at the World Cup.
