Former President John Dramani Mahama stands tall to lead the National Democratic Congress (NDC) into the next general elections in 2024, an aspiring General Secretary of the NDC, Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah has said.
He said interested persons in the flagbearer position of the NDC are welcomed to contest but he strongly believes that John Mahama, who was the NDC’s 2022 presidential candidate, will win and represent the party again.
Speaking on the New Day show with Johnnie Hughes on TV3 Wednesday October 12, he assured of a level playing filed in the flagbearer contest.
“John Mahama stands tall,” he stressed.
The former Minister of Youth and Sports further indicated that “but one fact we can’t run away from is in 2024 whose records are we going to run on? Is it not John Mahama?”
He further appealed to the delegates of the NDC to vote for him to become the next General Secretary of the party.
He assured that he as the qualities and skills to ensure a victory for the party in the 2024 polls.
