Ghanaian Rapper OJ Blaq Is Dead

Rapper OJ Blaq born Andy Nii Akrashie is reportedly dead at age 40.

The rapper had been battling kidney disease for years but it is yet to be confirmed if that was the cause of his death.

OJ Blaq began his music career in the early 2000s and released his debut album, “The Blaq Mixtape”, in 2006.
He went on to release works, including his hit song “Chalewote”.

He was diagnosed with kidney disease in 2021. He underwent dialysis treatment and was awaiting a kidney transplant.

However, he passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023.

Indeed, he was a talented artiste and he will always be remembered for his musical contribution to Ghana’s music industry.
