Jordan Ayew admits Arsenal’s supremacy ahead of Premier League clash

Crystal Palace forward Jordan Ayew has acknowledged the difference in quality and purpose between his team and Arsenal ahead of their second Premier League match of the season.

Both clubs picked up victories in their opening matches last weekend and are vying for supremacy in the London derby, which takes place Monday night at Selhurst Park.

Jordan Ayew, who assisted on his team’s lone goal in their victory over Sheffield United, is anticipating a difficult matchup with the Gunners and has acknowledged that there is a gap between the two clubs that makes the Eagles underdogs.

“Arsenal is a big team we are not in the same bracket. They fight for (a) top four (standing) or maybe even winning the league. We are a team that wants to finish as high as possible so it’s two different categories but we still have our part to play.”

In their last five meetings, Palace have won just once and drawn one with Arsenal winning three.

While Arsenal finished behind Manchester City at second Klopp last season, Crystal Palace finished outside the top half of the table settling for the 11th position.
