Ghanaian singer Kurl Songx has said he’s had several thoughts of returning to sound engineer, Kaywa’s record label, ‘Highly Spiritual Music’ after he left the label.
Kurl Songx parted ways with Kaywa at a very early stage of his career as an up-and-coming artiste.
Speaking in an interview on Onua FM’s Adwuma Adwuma with Felicia Osei, Kurl Songz said although he left the record label, Kaywa always welcomed him home and treated him well describing Kaywa as “father” to him.
Although the idea of returning to the record label has occurred to him severally, Kurl Songx explained that he took a decision not to return but to allow himself thread his own path and “carry his own cross.”
“It’s not easy but we had to. I’ve thought of that [going back] so many times. Kaywa is my father and I have a very good relationship with him, he accepts you in his house, nothing has change but now you have to take the thing upon yourself and you have to carry your cross.
“He is the reason why I am here and where I am. I have to hustle on my own,” he stated.
