NDC’s ‘Bright Beginning Initiative’ to revamp early childhood education – Dr. Apaak

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has revealed its vision to revitalize early childhood education in Ghana, marking an important shift towards providing quality education for all Ghanaians from a young age.

At an NDC Press Briefing on August 27,at the NDC Headquarters, Accra, the party introduced its ‘Bright Beginnings Initiative’, created to breathe new life into early childhood education.

The NDC’s ‘Bright Beginnings Initiative’ aims to revive and regenerate early childhood education for the well-being of Ghanaian children and make possible seamless integration into continuous schooling and lifelong learning.

“We will establish a Department for Early Childhood Development under the Ministry of Education with a special mandate to promote early childhood education,” Dr. Clement Apaak, MP for Builsa South constituency stated.

He added, “We will launch a ‘Furniture for All Initiative’ to address the acute deficit at the basic level in partnership with the local carpentry and furniture industry.”

The NDC’s plans for early childhood and basic education also include improving the pupil-to-textbook ratio, embarking on an aggressive infrastructure drive, and promoting digital literacy.

Dr. Apaak stated that the NDC’s goal is to provide quality education for all Ghanaians.
