Napo urges farmers not to pay heed to NDC propaganda

Napo urges farmers not to pay heed to NDC propaganda

New Patriotic Party (NPP) running mate Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has told Ghanaian farmers that their lives and future will be secured only when the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) remains in office.

Dr Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as Napo, said it is only the NPP administration that has the interest and well-being of farmers, especially cocoa farmers, at heart.

He has therefore entreated farmers to offer their unflinching support for the NPP administration to retain political power on December 7 and implement policies to boost their lives.

“The NPP has moved cocoa price from 475 cedis to 2,070 cedis and plans to increase the price again this year, clearly demonstrating the NPPs’ commitment to cocoa farmers.

“This is a government, which always plans and thinks about what it should do to help make life better and comfortable for cocoa farmers and their families”, Dr Prempeh said.

The running mate of Dr Bawumia said the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) doesn’t have any better plans for cocoa farmers.

Speaking at Asunafo South in the Ahafo Region as part of his campaign tour, Napo said the gains made in the agricultural sector will be eroded with the incompetent NDC in power.

“The NDC will abandon the cocoa rehabilitation projects, which are currently ongoing in the cocoa districts, should we make a mistake to vote for the NDC”, he warned.

According to him, the NDC always peddles blatant lies and propaganda to confuse farmers, repeating that the NDC doesn’t have any better plans to help cocoa farmers.

“The wellbeing of cocoa farmers is not the priority of the NDC”, the NPP vice presidential candidate indicated and said, “Cast your ballot for the NPP to secure your future”.
