GFP’s Roman Fada disqualified from contesting in presidential elections

Ghana Freedom Party’s  Phillip Appiah Kubi also known as Roman Fada has been disqualified from contesting in the presidential elections.

The Electoral Commission said it detected a number of errors on his nomination forms.

“There were also illegalities on the forms,” TV3’s Crosby Annan reported the commission as saying, on Tuesday.

The Electoral Commission further indicated that  they will not change positions on the ballot papers

Chair of the Commission Jean Mensa told journalists that on Tuesday November 12 ” Votes for MAdam Akua  Donkor will be annulled,”

The party had announced his nomination in a letter dated November 4 to inform the Electoral Commission of its new Presidential Candidate for the upcoming 2024 elections following the death of Madam Akua Donkor.

Prior to Akua Donkor’s death, Philip was the Vice-Presidential candidate of the party.

The late Madam Akua Donkor passed away on Monday, October 28 at the Ridge Hospital in Accra.
