It’s going to be tight but we’re mentally ready – Otto Addo on Angola game

Black Stars’ Head Coach Otto Addo has expressed confidence that the team will “do it” today in the match against Angola.

His team takes on the Palancas Negras in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier at the Estadio 11 de Novembro in Luanda.

Ghana need to pick all three points in order to stand a chance of making it to the tournament in Morocco next year.
Angola have already picked one of the two slots from the group, Group F.

Speaking in an interview ahead of the game, Otto Addo insisted that his charged are mentally ready to pick their first win in the qualifiers.

“It’s going to be very tight, I know,” he conceded.

“But I think mentally the boys are ready, they are looking forward to that game and it is time for the first victory in this competition and I think it’s a great chance to keep the chances alive.”

Ghana’s chances have been brightened by the 4-0 thumping of Sudan by Niger on Thursday, November 14.
The win gave Niger an equal chance, just like Ghana and Sudan, of making it to the tournament.

But it all boils down to the Black Stars beating the Palancas Negras today.
