Let’s Protect Our Culture, Values And Ensure Peaceful Co-existence During And After December Polls-Hon Titus Glover

At a colourful event when the Chiefs, Queen mothers, Wulomei and Woryei gather to officially launch a durbar in honour of Wor Yoomo Naa Ayemuerde foundation, the Greater Accra Regional Minister Hon. Daniel Nii Kwatei Titus Glover, assured the people of the Ga State that the upcoming general elections will be violence-free.

He however sent a word of caution to the electorates to avoid electoral violence against each other because “we have only one Ghana and our culture and values needs to be protected.”

According to him, he strongly believes that the elections will be free and fair and mostly peaceful for Ghana to continue enjoying the peaceful co-existence that she has enjoyed over the years.




Ghana is blessed to have our two political parties flag bearers from both religious backgrounds which proves Ghana is ready to protect the democratic depensation we kept enjoying.

“The leader of NPP which is the ruling government H.E.Mahamudu Bawumia is coming from a Muslim background and the NDC too has a leader H.E. John Dramani Mahama coming from Christian background so narrowing the two candidates, it tells Ghanaians how far we have reached in politics.”

Hon Titus Glover expressed happiness that Ghanaians are beginning to understand the beautiful and colourful culture of the Ga State and that’s why there’s a need showcase it to the world how beautiful our culture is.



In a related development, the Municipal Chief Executive of Krowor municipality Hon. Joshua Nii Bortey advised the youth of the Ga State to desist from violent extremism and must rather preach peace wherever they find themselves.

“The Ga State cannot afford to lose a single soul all in the name of elections so there’s a need to resist any attempt by any politicians who will come and bribes them to go and cause political violence.”

According to him, they should rather tell the said politicians to go and use their families to achieve their selfish gains because they want to protect the peace they’ve enjoyed over the years.

He warned that anybody who is found wanted to cause mayhem will not be speared and he is ready to provide the said person an ‘air conditioned room’ that suits trouble makers.

He entreated all the people of Ga State to go and cast their votes peacefully and return home and wait patiently for results to be declared, whoever emerged winner is a victory for all.



In her remarks, the former Member of Parliament for Krowor Constituency and Ex Fisheries Minister Hon. Afoley Quaye appealed to Ghanaians to consider voting massively for H.E.Mahamudu Bawumia to continue the good works H.E.Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo left behind.

She emphasized that a victory for No.1 is a victory for protecting free SHS, STEM Innovation Programme, upgrading of Public Schools into modern standards and infrastructural development Ghanaians has benefitted from NPP government.

Meanwhile the Wor Yoomo Naa Ayemuerde reiterated to the fact that the foundation is to foresee many GaDangme people especially the girls get support for their educational obligations and skills training for their future benefits.

She said the foundation also targeted not less than 5000 GaDangme people benefiting from the schemes.
