Independent Candidate for Efutu granted GHC50k bail

The Winneba District Court presided over by Her Worship Josephine Abigail Fosuaa Appiah has granted a bail of GHC50,000 to both Louisa Buabeng, the independent candidate contesting in the Effutu parliamentary elections and her campaign coordinator, Dauda Murtalib Monkaizil.




They are also required to present three sureties each with one being a police officer working within the district and not below the rank of a Chief Inspector.
The case was heard without the presence of the neither the candidate nor her campaign coordinator.




The police prosecutor told the court that he did not know the whereabouts of the accused persons who are supposed to be in the custody of police.
