The Electricity Company of Ghana, has restored power to Bodi Community in the Bodi District in the Western North Region.
The power was restored at about 8:30pm Thursday, March 13, 2025 exactly Five ( 5 ) days after the area was plunged into darkness.
Bodi Community were plunged into the darkness since Sunday, March 9, 2025, following the heavy rain fall resulted in electricity poles fallen.
The Electricity Company of Ghana Technical team assessed the damages and requested assistance from the regional Office before restoring the power.
The Five ( 5 ) days power outage crippled the local economy as businesses including cold stores, welding shops, barbaring saloons were struggling to operate.
The Member of Parliament for Bodi Constituency, Hon. Sampson Ahi facilitated the restoration of the Electricity power together with the Assembly Member for Bodi electoral area, Hon. Grace Mensah and the District ECG Manager in the area.
The restoration of power was greeted with spontaneous wild jubilation by residents
