The National Service Authority (NSA) has received 10,000 Day Old Chicks as part of plans to roll out President Mahama’s ‘Nkoko Nkitikiti’ policy.
This was announced via the Facebook page of the NSA on Thursday, March 20, 2025.
The NSA disclosed that its ongoing 100,000 poultry infrastructure will be receiving 10,000 Day Old Chicks within weeks until it achieves its 100,000 mark for broilers.
“Nationwide, we are working assiduously with partners to put the infrastructure in place for hundreds of thousands of Poultry Capacity for Broilers in clusters,” the NSA said.
“Eggs production is also top of our agenda in separate projects. We are currently putting in place the infrastructure that will receive thousands of layers in President Mahama’s quest to bring down the cost of eggs. We will expand our Poultry capacity base in furtherance of President Mahama’s vision,” the NSA added.
The “nkoko nkitinkiti” programme is a campaign promise of the NDC aimed at boosting poultry production and creating jobs for the youth through enhanced support for poultry farmers, affordable feed production and expanded services.
