A-G’s report: Corruption swallows ¢1.8bn in 2021 – ¢989m in taxes, ¢5.5m in payroll irregularities

The 2021 Auditor-General’s report has unearthed irregularities amo.unting to GH¢1,080,913,824. It comprises tax irregularities, cash irregularities, indebtedness/loans/advances, payroll irregularities, stores/procurement irregularities, rent irregularities and contract irregularities. The A-G detected payroll irregularities amounting to GH¢5,583,498.00.
